Why is QT important ?
A. It is essential for fruitfulness. (Matthew 4:19)
–Fruitof the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22)
–Fruitin leading people to Christ.
B. It is essential for fellowship with other believers. (1 John1:6-7)
–Ourrelationship with other believers can only be as strong as our relationshipwith the Lord.
–If wehave sin in our lives, it is hard to be around other believers. (Hebrews 3:13)
How ?
•Twokey words: meditation and communion.
•Thequiet time is a time in which one’s soul is restored and prepared for the dayahead. (Psalm 23)
•Thisis a daily experience. (2 Corinthians 4:16, John 6). God could choose to give aperson enough spiritual nourishment for a week if He wanted. However, as withthe provision of manna in the desert, God seems to give us only dailyprovision.
